New heads of mission to Canada welcomed at the Citadelle of Québec

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, welcomed seven new heads of mission to Canada during a ceremony at the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Québec.

His Excellency Sergiu Odainic, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, presented his credentials to the Governor General.

His Excellency Olaf Andreas Kjelsen, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation presented his credentials to the Governor General.

His Excellency Lim Woongsoon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, presented his credentials to the Governor General.

His Excellency Keith Linden George, High Commissioner of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, presented his credentials to the Governor General.

His Excellency Joska Kabongo Ngoy, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, presented his credentials to the Governor General.

His Excellency Shri Sanjay Kumar Verma, High Commissioner of the Republic of India, presented his credentials to the Governor General.

His Excellency Agron Buxhaku, Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia, presented his credentials to the Governor General.

Upon their arrival in Canada, new heads of mission must present their letters of credence to the governor general before they can carry out their duties. Letters of credence are the official documents that accredit a diplomat as an ambassador or high commissioner to another country.
