Kids’ Lit Quiz Inaugural Ottawa Tournament
The Governor General had the honour of asking the final 10 questions to competitors on 14 teams representing 7 schools in Canada’s capital. The winning team will advance to the national final being held in Toronto, on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, was the guest quizmaster at the final round of the Kids’ Lit Quiz Inaugural Ottawa Tournament. The event took place at Elmwood School, in Ottawa, on January 18, 2016.

The Kids’ Lit Quiz is an annual literature quiz for students aged 10 to 13 years. Quizzes are held in Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. For Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017, the City of Toronto will host this international event, where nine countries are expected to compete.
