The Governor General also delivered a keynote address on the spirit of innovation and the diplomacy of knowledge at the Urban Innovation luncheon and panel discussion in partnership with the Center for Urban Science and Progress at the University of New York.

The panellists included: Dr. Steven Koonin, CUSP Director; Dr. Jane Snowdon, Senior Manager and Co-Lead for 2013 Global Technology Outlook at IBM; and Dr. Cheryl Misak, Vice-President and Provost of the University of Toronto.
