Storytime at Rideau Hall
Over the summer months, this family reading activity will be hosted in collaboration with Frontier College, a Canadian non-profit organization that promotes literacy. The general public, families and youth groups are invited to come to the Frontier College Reading Tent where they can read great Canadian children’s books and participate in fun literacy activities.

On June 29, 2013, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston, along with Frontier College volunteers, officially launched Storytime at Rideau Hall.

As the story was read, Their Excellencies encouraged children in attendance to play musical instruments.

More than 210 people attended this year's launch of Storytime which was held in Rideau Hall's beautiful Tent Room.
