Launch of 2013 Daffodil Campaign
This year marks the Canadian Cancer Society’s 75th anniversary.

During the event, Ms. Pamela Fralick, President and CEO of the Canadian Cancer Society, thanked Their Excellencies for their support and spoke about the daffodil, which symbolizes strength and courage in the fight against cancer.

The event was held inside the greenhouses at Rideau Hall, where the boys were accompanied by their families.

Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston received a bouquet of daffodils from two young cancer patients Isaac Ciarlo (age 7) and Liam Elder (age 8) to mark the beginning of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Daffodil Campaign for 2013.
