The Council of Chairs of Ontario Universities’ 2013 conference

On this occasion, the Governor General highlighted the important role university board members play in post-secondary education, as well as draw attention to a number of key trends and developments in higher learning.

Following his speech, His Excellency participated in aquestion-and-answer period with the audience.

The Council of Chairs of Ontario Universities is an affiliate of the Council of Ontario Universities, which is a member organization of the province’s 20 publicly funded universities and the Royal Military College of Canada. The Council of Ontario Universities works closely with provincial and federal governments to develop and improve public policies that help their universities deliver high-quality programs for students, as well as research and innovation that impacts the social, cultural and economic well-being of Ontarians.
