His Excellency delivered a speech on the power of learning and the role of colleges and polytechnics in creating a smarter, more caring world: “Human development, let us remember, is at its core about expanding the choices available to people so that they may lead lives they value. And education—while providing no guarantees—is nevertheless the primary means by which we can increase our choices and thrive as human beings.”
