2011 Child Welfare League of Canada Achievement Awards

Her Excellency Sharon Johnston took part in a reception to honour the 2011 Child Welfare League of Canada Achievement Awards recipients. Advocacy Award went to Corey LaBerge, of Winnipeg, MB, nominated by The Office of the Children’s Advocate; Foster Parent Award went to Kathy & Dan McAlpine, of Milford, ON, nominated by Bayfield Treatment Centres; Children’s Services Award went to David Rivers & Patti Petrucka, of Regina, SK, nominated by the Ranch Ehrlo Society; Research and Program Excellence Award went to Dr. Harriet MacMillan, of Hamilton, ON, nominated by the Offord Centre for Child Studies at McMaster University; RBC Youth Achievement Award went to Christopher Tait, a 20-year old youth from Vancouver, BC, nominated by the Ministry of Children & Family Development, Vancouver Coastal Region.
