Visit to London - Arrival of Their Excellencies
On Wednesday April 27, 2011, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston were welcomed by Mr. James R. Wright, High Commissioner of Canada (right), upon their arrival at London Luton Airport. Their Excellencies are attending the Royal wedding of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday, April 29, 2011.

In a message, the Governor General said: “My wife, Sharon, and I are honoured to attend the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton. As representative of The Queen in Canada, I am truly privileged to represent Canadians at this very special occasion. Once again, I would like to extend my congratulations and best wishes to the couple. We are looking forward to welcoming them to Canada later this summer.”
