Striking of the Diamond Jubilee Medal
First announced on February 3, 2011, this commemorative medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country, and to celebrate significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.

His Excellency participated in a symbolic striking of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, at the Royal Canadian Mint, in Ottawa. Mr. James B. Love, Chair of the Royal Canadian Mint Board of Directors, welcomed guests to this special event.
