The Governor General was warmly welcomed upon his arrival to the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities has more than 100 international partners, including three Canadian universities (the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue; the University of Toronto; and Télé-Université (TÉLUQ) of the Université du Québec à Montréal). Founded in 1995, the USSH Faculty of International Studies is the only academic institution in Vietnam providing a Canadian studies program.
