At the request of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, attended the XVI Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, on October 29 and 30, 2011. Upon his arrival in the city, His Excellency received a Canadian athlete’s jacket presented by Mr. Marcel Aubut, President of the Canadian Olympic Committee (right), and Mr. Jacques Cardyn, Chef de Mission of Team Canada (left).
