International Volunteer Day

Each year, Cuso International places volunteers of all ages with organizations working to overcome poverty in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Cuso International builds partnerships with local groups to help people living in developing countries.

In recognition of International Volunteer Day, the Governor General participated in a round-table discussion at Rideau Hall on the impact of volunteerism in Canada and abroad. Participants included board members and partners of Cuso International, as well as volunteers affiliated with the organization. They took this opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences with the Governor General on the issue of volunteering.
