2011 Royal Tour - Canada Day Noon Show on Parliament Hill

Along with thousands of Canadians and visitors, Their Excellencies were joined by Their Royal Highnesses to attend the Canada Day Noon Show.

"It was a little over two months ago that we were in London for the Royal Wedding, a marvellous day filled with joy and celebration. So what better occasion than Canada Day for us to return the favour by hosting these young royals on their first official visit overseas?"

The Governor General offered closing remarks: "In the presence of Their Royal Highnesses, the Prime Minister, ministers and Canadians, I want to challenge all of us not only to envision the nation we desire as we approach our 150th anniversary, but also to map out how we can get there. How will we create a smarter, more caring Canada?"

On this special occasion, His Royal Highness addressed Canadians.

Following the inspection of the guard of honour, the Governor General admired the fly past of two CF 18 Fighter Aircraft.

Their Royal Highnesses along with Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston arrived by landau on Parliament Hill.

Ceremonial guards musicians entertained the crowd. A scenic view of Parliament Hill is reflected off each musical instrument.

Mayu Graham was among the thousands of Canadians on Parliament Hill awaiting the arrival of Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Canada Day.

As Her Royal Highness was leaving Parliament Hill, she and Her Excellency stopped to talk to Canadians.
