2011 Canada Army Run
On September 18, 2011, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston participated in this year’s Canada Army Run, in Ottawa.

Canada Army Run is a unique event in which Canadians run, walk, or roll side-by-side with members of the Canadian Forces in 5K and half-marathon events. Launched in 2008 by 7 000 participating runners, the event’s fundraising efforts benefit Canadian Forces Personnel Support programs, which include Soldier On and the Military Families Fund.
