Book of Reflection for End of an Era

The Governor General wrote a message in the book thanking all Canadian men and women who sacrificed their lives during this war. This initiative from the Government of Canada follows the death of John “Jack” Babcock, Canada’s last Canadian First World War Veteran. His passing on February 18, 2010, marked the end of an era in Canada’s history.
