STATE VISIT TO THE REPUBLIC OF GUATEMALA - Roundtable discussion with the Community of San Juan La Laguna
The Governor General of Canada met with members of San Juan La Laguna’s civil society including representatives of FEDEPMA to discuss the development in the region and their links with the Canadian project PROSOL. Ms. Elena Yojcóm Upján, Departmental Governor of Sololá, addressed the participants. On her left, Canadian delegate Rick Craig, and on her right, Mayor of San Juan La Laguna, Mr. Flavio José Yojcóm García, also took part in the event.

The purpose of PROSOL is to improve living conditions and income generation in the Department of Sololá, one of Guatemala’s poorest Indigenous regions.
