STATE VISIT TO THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA - Reception with Croatian Olympic and Paralympic committees

Her Excellency met with Croatian Olympic and Paralympic athletes, and representatives of the Croatian Olympic and Paralympic committees to discuss and celebrate the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

“Without a doubt, these Paralympic Winter Games promise to be a great moment in sport, and Canadians will be there to make it happen.”

“And so I say to you now, “See you very soon,” and extend my best wishes for success to your athletes as they proudly represent Croatia in Vancouver in February and March 2010.”

Her Excellency presented hockey jerseys to Mr. Ratko Kovačić, President of the Croatian Paralympic Committee, and to Mr. Zlatko Mateša, President of the Croatian Olympic Committee.
