STATE VISIT TO THE REPUBLIC OF COSTA RICA - Meeting with President

The Governor General and the President of Costa Rica discussed relations between the two countries in the president's office following the welcoming ceremony.

Their Excellencies were joined by Canada's Ambassador to Costa Rica as well as Costa Rica's ambassador to Canada for the meeting with President Oscar Arias Sánchez.

After their meeting, Their Excellencies delivered statements to the media during which the Governor General stated: “We are delighted to have a partner like Costa Rica and to work tirelessly together in the hope of guiding the stable and peaceful development of this continent, which we share from north to south.”
