Order of Military Merit Investiture Ceremony

Prior to the address of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, Padre Colonel John Fletcher made an invocation.

The Chief of the Defence Staff, General W.J. Natynczyk, warmly congratulated the recipients and their families.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, invested Sergeant Ted Ramsey, M.M.M., 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, as a Member of the Order of Military Merit.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, invested Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Brian Fisher, M.M.M., C.D., Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Scott, as a Member of the Order of Military Merit.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, invested Chief Warrant Officer Serge Beaudoin, M.M.M., C.D., 430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron, as a Member of the Order of Military Merit.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, invested Captain(N) William Truelove, O.M.M., C.D., Fourth Maritime Operations Group Headquarters, as an Officer of the Order of Military Merit.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, invested Major Brenda Milligan, O.M.M., C.D., 14 Wing, as an Officer of the Order of Military Merit.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, invested Colonel Richard Lapointe, O.M.M., C.D., 34 Canadian Brigade Group, as a Officer of the Order of Military Merit.

Sergeant Scott Elliston, Corporal John Chalmer and Master-warrant Officer Kenneth Stadnick, all three from Comox, B.C., were proud to receive the Order of Military Merit.
