Panel Discussion on Solidarity in a Global World at Comenius University

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, delivered the keynote address on the theme of "Solidarity in a Global World" in front of 200 students, community leaders, politicians, and the diplomatic corps gathered at Comenius University in Bratislava.

Canadian delegate Dr. Jack Jedwab, Executive Director, Association for Canadian Studies, also spoke at this event.

His Excellency Jean-Daniel Lafond shared his opinions on the importance of solidarity in this era of globalization.

Canadian delegate Dr. Constance Backhouse, C.M., professor of law at the University of Ottawa, also took part in the discussion.

The Governor General took part in the discussion with the audience in attendance at Comenius University in Bratislava.
