Official Launch of Winterlude 2008
Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, along with her daughter Marie-Éden, launched the 30th edition of Winterlude at the opening ceremony at the Snowbowl stage on the Rideau Canal Skateway. During the ceremony, Her Excellency delivered remarks and broke the ice ribbon to officially launch the celebrations and activities planned throughout Canada’s capital region.
