Governor General Engages Street-Involved Youth in a Dialogue

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, visited the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa to engage street-involved youth in a Youth on November 17, 2008. Close to 40 youth from the region and social services professionals took part in the discussion.

The Governor General was listening carefully to the social challenges street-involved youth face on a daily basis.

Her Excellency also discussed with youth appropriate strategies to meet their needs.

The Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa serves youth aged 12 and older with difficulties affecting their physical and/or emotional well-being and development.
