Arrival of ships from the Grande Traversée de l’Atlantique (Great Crossing of the Atlantic)
Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, delivered a speech for the arrival of the 33 ships in the Port of Québec. Their Excellencies were in attendance when the ships left the Bassin des Chalutiers in La Rochelle, France, on May 8, to begin the Grande Traversée.
