OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will host a virtual discussion with Dr. Mona Nemer, Canada’s Chief Science Advisor, on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. The discussion will be accessible to the public on gg.ca.

The theme will focus on the importance of research and science advice in times of global pandemic.  

The discussion will be divided into two 20-minute sessions separated by a 40-minute interlude. The first session, beginning at 10:30 a.m., will be in French, while the second session, beginning at 11:30 a.m., will be in English.
