As a volunteer with Children's Autism Services of Edmonton since 2004, Joan Mestinsek has served on its board of directors and has assisted at many of its fundraising events. She is also active in other community organizations, notably the St. Albert Retired Teachers' Association and the St. Albert RCMP community outreach program.
