Ronald Goebel has distinguished himself through his volunteer efforts and his commitment to preserving heritage in his community for over 20 years. He has chaired the Twin City Committee between Carleton Place and Comrie, Scotland; chaired his community's Remembrance Day organizing committee; led the restoration of the local cenotaph; and chaired the Pipe Band Tattoo Committee for over 15 years, raising awareness of the area's Scottish heritage.
