Karene Luu has helped raise funds for the Year of Empowerment through Free The Children, and participated in We Scare Hunger. She has encouraged her peers to be part of We Are Silent to raise awareness of those who are unable to speak for themselves. Globally she is involved in the Food for Feminism campaign; locally, she collects clothes for a youth shelter.
