Since 1989, Douglas Pflug has helped the Guelph-Wellington Buns Masters Rollers Special Olympics floor hockey team attend three consecutive world champion events as their strength and conditioning coach and has inspired all team members to meet their goals. He also encourages community service and healthy relationships through the University of Guelph Varsity Gryphons football team.
