Yvette Gourdinne has been greatly involved in the preservation of Calgary's Francophone community for over 60 years. Her contributions as a volunteer are manifold. They include membership in Les Dames Sainte-Famille of Calgary's Francophone parish since 1954, the Scouts francophones du Canada, and the Société Franco-canadienne de Calgary.
