Charlotte Lachance Benoit, Bonfield, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

A founding member of the Bonfield Family Centre since 1979, Charlotte Benoit makes her home available as a meeting place and drop-off point for clothing, furniture and other items for those in need. She sorts, washes, mends and helps distribute the clothing. Ms. Benoit is also involved in church activities and is a member of the local seniors' club, where she assists in the preparation of a monthly meal for some 70 people.
