Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Audrey Windsor has been a part of Canada Customs and Revenue Agency's volunteer program in St. John's for many years, helping thousands of older people, low-income families, people with disabilities, new Canadians and others to complete their income tax returns. She coordinates and conducts tax preparation clinics at seniors' residences and nursing homes, and does home visits for people who are unable to attend the sessions. Her devotion extends to driving seniors to medical appointments, visiting them if they are hospitalized, and helping them to deal with a variety of other issues and concerns.
