Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
For more than forty years, Alan Morgan has served his community and parish with integrity and a deep sense of caring for the welfare of others. He has been involved in his church, contributing his time unselfishly as a moderator of the Church Council, Sunday-School superintendent, choir member, committee representative for the local food bank and as a moderator of the Canada Central Association of Baptist Churches. A long-time and active member of the local Rotary Club, Mr. Morgan has also been involved with the local United Way for many years, and has been a driving force of stability, support and strength for that organization.
