Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
A volunteer chaplain, John Middleton has always been involved in helping others. For several years, he assisted with Scouts Canada, the Army Cadet League, Little League baseball and church activities. He has visited patients at several Saskatoon hospitals, veterans homes, and seniors residences, providing countless hours of service and support. Rev. Middleton has looked after the affairs of people who are sick and dying, comforted grieving families dealing with suicide and sudden or violent death, and on occasion travelled in severe weather or returned from vacation to provide solace.
