As a retired school principal, Pauline Forrest continues to volunteer her time helping students and teachers. She visits schools as a storyteller, teaches Sunday school, and has taken an active role in the New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers. She is particularly involved with the Society's Sunshine/Remembrance project, which involves regular visits to senior citizens or people confined to their homes to bring flowers, fruit and gifts at Christmas time, and cards on their birthdays or special occasions.
