    Burton Flumerfelt held a variety of voluntary positions in the community. He was a member of the RCMP Veterans' Association for more than thirty years, volunteering for some time as President. For more than a decade, he was also active in the Help Fill a Dream Foundation for children with disabilities, soliciting funds and serving on the executive. Mr. Flumerfelt was also a dedicated Elder of his church who faithfully visited members who were ill.
