Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Éméline Nadeau has been involved in community work for more than thirty years, having started in 1964 when she opened Ascot's first family assistance facility. She has been a member of school committees for a dozen years and has been very active in her parish in various capacities. For the past ten years, Mrs. Nadeau has directed the Precious Blood family assistance facility. With the help of volunteers and a steering committee, she collects, stores and displays clothing and other items, arranges the premises, manages funds and recruits volunteers.
