Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

For about thirty years, Robert Gagnon, Chief of the Rimouski Police Force, has been a member of many community, mutual aid and non-profit organizations. He serves on boards of directors and takes part in various funding activities such as Jail `n Bail and the Canadian Cancer Society peace officers' luncheon. Mr. Gagnon's volunteer activities include assisting persons in need, sick children, athletes, young people and the elderly, and focus on community assistance and the prevention of suicide and alcohol abuse.
