Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Pauline Mellor is a dedicated volunteer. A member of the Daughters of Isabella since 1975 and a volunteer at the Champlain nursing home for many years, she is in charge of arts and crafts and pastries during annual bazaars and helps prepare meals for a wide range of parish activities. She has also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Canadian Red Cross, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. In addition, Mrs. Mellor provides assistance to elderly people living in her apartment building.
