Over the years, Rolande D'Amour has been involved in several Vallée-de-la-Lièvre organizations and associations dedicated to enhancing the well-being of area residents. These include the school board, the local volunteer association, the senior citizens' club and Jellinek Hall. She is known in particular for promoting services for senior citizens. Mrs. D'Amour is also an active member of her parish, preparing children for their confirmation. She has taught arts and crafts to people of all ages, has visited people in need of companionship, and has volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
