Yvonne Rialland-Morissette has served as a volunteer for more than fifty years. In 1932, she was a co-founder of the non-profit association, l'Aiguille française. She has served on the boards of directors of various cultural and humanitarian non-profit organizations over the years and is currently responsible for various activities and committees at the Fondation Édouard-Montpetit, the Fondation du Cercle des femmes journalistes, the Société d'étude et de conférences, the McGill Centre for Studies in Age and Aging, and the Senior Citizens' Forum of Montréal.
