Joseph Muszynski, Scarborough, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Over the years, Joseph Muszynski has canvassed for charitable organizations such as the Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Salvation Army, and is very active in his church. He has served as head usher and a minister of the Eucharist, helps with the Share Life campaign and other church functions, and annually coordinates a Remembrance Day ceremony at the church. A member of the Executive Committee of the church's seniors group, he helps to run the weekly meetings for local senior citizens. Mr. Muszynski also volunteers with Meals on Wheels and is always ready to help family, friends and neighbours.
