Nancy Fleury, Teulon
Nancy Fleury saw that her neighbours were in need and responded by taking action. With her husband, she co-founded the Teulon and District Food Bank, which provides food hampers twice a month to low-income families in the area. She also formed the Christmas Cheer Board, which delivers up to 65 hampers of clothing, toys and food each year during the holiday season. She engaged students at local high schools to help sort, wrap and package hampers to introduce them to the idea of giving back to the community and teach them that everyone has something to give.
