    Rita M. Durocher, Hawkesbury, Ont. Governor General's Caring Canadian Award A mother of 10, Rita Durocher began her volunteer work in the Hawkesbury Scout and Guide movement. She is actively involved with the Daughters of Isabella, the "Chaîne d'Or" seniors club, the Cercle des Fermières, the auxiliary services of Saint-Coeur-de-Marie Hospital and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Ms. Durocher also works in her community's second-hand clothing store repairing damaged clothing and making garments from recycled pieces, to help low income families. Since 1993, she has worked with seniors and mobility-impaired persons for the Prescott and Russell Community Services Centre.
