Cécile Martin-Laniel has been active in the life of her community for many years. After adopting two children, she worked as co-president of an international adoption support group for six years. Mrs. Martin-Laniel also made crafts, knitwear and pastries that were sold to raise money for orphanages in Bangladesh and India. She also made diapers, blankets and bedspreads that were sent to Bangladesh. For nine years she has served on the board of directors of the Apogée organization, which provides assistance to the families and friends of persons with mental health difficulties. Mrs. Martin-Laniel is always there to meet the needs of her community.
