Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Following her retirement from teaching in 1976, Sister Roy has been involved in helping a wide variety of people. As a volunteer in hospital and at the Manoir Grand-Sault, she visits and regularly offers her assistance to seniors. She has taught in the literacy group La Porte ouverte, and continues to teach in her own home. Sister Roy also works as a volunteer for many charitable agencies and humanitarian causes.
