Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

A teacher by profession, Thérèse Dalrymple has always been highly involved in her community. For over 20 years, she has offered Bible classes for adults, served as a member of the decoration committee and administered communion in her parish. Mrs. Dalrymple has been singing in the choir for 38 years. As a volunteer with Prescott and Russell Community Services, she visits people with developmental difficulties as well as seniors, in institutions or their own homes. Every year she takes part in the annual Cancer Society campaign. The people of her community recognize Thérèse Dalrymple as someone who gives generously of her time.
