Gerri Wein, Kingston, Ontario
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

For over 20 years, Gerri Wein has served with Stonecroft Ministries, an interdenominational evangelical outreach program, assisting with planning, recruiting, training and coordinating events. For 12 years, she has been involved with Christian Athlete Hockey Camps, assisting with promotion, administration and volunteer recruitment. She has also been a member of the board of directors for the Kingston Pregnancy Centre, an outreach facility for young, unwed mothers, and has provided counselling, fundraising and overall direction for the Centre and its clients. She has also served as an elder at Frontline Worship Centre, spending many hours counselling families. Mrs. Wein tends to the needs of others with compassion and kindness.
