Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Heather Breanne Muir, of Walkerton, Ontario, a volunteer diagnosed with a rare medical condition at the age of four, has selflessly dedicated herself to being a strong voice for youth issues and to offering her assistance to the Canadian Blood Services. Ms. Muir is a past president of Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving association, a member of the local Optimist Club, of 4-H and of the National Liaison Committee of Canadian Blood Services. Today, Ms. Muir continues to devote a large part of her life to the promotion of valuable causes.
