Joseph-Arthur Poulin, Lac-Mégantic, Quebec
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Joseph-Arthur Poulin has been living a very full life for the past 50 years; he says it is just a matter of being organized. Encouraged by his family since he was a teenager, he has volunteered his time, his services, and eventually his accounting skills to many organizations. Treasurer of the Soupapes de la Bonne Humeur, an association that assists people with disabilities, he also looks after the finances of the Marmitons de Mégantic, the local chapter of Meals on Wheels. Whether for the Knights of Columbus, the parish committee or any other organization, Mr. Poulin has modestly and quietly supported the groups he has joined and has helped them prosper. His jovial nature and his talents have truly improved the quality of life of everyone who has come into contact with him.
